NEW TREATS COMPETE FOR SPACE IN LUNCH BOX

YOU CAN TELL school's about to start when manufacturers trot out new kids' foods.

One product designed to make brown-bagging easier is Nestle's refrigerated cookie dough.

It's much like the usual cookie-dough-in-a-tube but comes in four Nestle-only flavors: sugar cookie with Butterfingers, oatmeal with Raisinets, chocolate chocolate chip and regular chocolate chip with Nestle Toll House Morsels.

Nestle says you can make the cookies in less than 15 minutes, including preparation and cleanup.

An 18-ounce package costs about $2.79. Look for them in the refrigerated section.

Another product coming soon is Kellogg's Pop-Tarts Crunch cereal.

It will be available in two flavors: frosted strawberry and frosted brown sugar and cinnamon.

Kellogg's hasn't released the price or other information yet, but says the cereal will be available nationwide in late September. by CNB
