CAMPUS NOTES

Lenette D. Hillian, daughter of Leonard Hillian of Norfolk, was inducted into the Phi Upsilon Omicron and Kappa Omicron Nu honor societies. Hillian, a 1990 honor graduate of Lake Taylor High School, is a student in the School of Human Resources at Virginia Tech. She was also named to the dean's list for the spring semester.

Stuart T. Wilson, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas B. Wilson of Norfolk, was recently awarded a doctor of ministry degree from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Ga. Wilson, who holds a bachelor's degree from Old Dominion University and a master's degree from Columbia, is pastor of Robinson Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, N.C.

Stacie L. Armstead, a graduate of Booker T. Washington, and Pavar R. Snipe, a graduate of Granby High School, recently participated in a summer transition program at Lynchburg College, where they are freshmen.

MILITARY PEOPLE

Marine Staff Sgt. Samuel K. Brown of the 1000 block of Bland St. recently graduated from the reserve staff noncommissioned officer academy career course at Marine Corps Air Station, El Toro, Santa Ana, Calif. Brown joined the Marines in 1984.

Navy Ensign John T. Kavanaugh, son of Navy Rear Adm. and Mrs. John T. Kavanaugh of the 300 block of Dillingham Blvd., recently completed the officer indoctrination school at Naval Education and Training Center, Newport, R.I.
