We Be Jammin' Thursdays, the city's musical summer fun, will go country this week with The Wooden Nickel Band.
They are local musicians, six of them, four of whom alternate in the vocal department.
The Wooden Nickel Band specializes in performing top-40 country, some line-dance music, old country classics and, when the mood strikes, some oldies rock 'n' roll and Southern rock.
A state-of-the-art light show accompanies the music by the group that has opened for such national acts as Pirates of the Mississippi and Clyde Robertson. MEMO: We Be Jammin' Thursdays presents The Wooden Nickel Band from 5:30 to
8:30 p.m. on South Main Street in downtown Franklin on the bulkhead
adjacent to Be-Lo. It is sponsored by the Franklin Downtown Business
Association. For information call 562-8511.
