SUFFOLK CRIME REPORT

The crimes listed here were reported to the Suffolk Police Department. Because they are initial reports, they are allegations only and may or may not have resulted in criminal charges.

DISTRICT A

Possession of Marijuana with intent to Distribute: Route 664 and Route 17, Aug. 12, a suspect was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute after a vehicle he was riding in was stopped for a traffic violation.

Assault and Battery: 6000 block Camellia Drive, Aug. 12, a suspect hit a woman on the back of her head with his fist.

Residential Breaking and Entering: 6700 block Crittenden Road, Aug. 12, someone entered a home through a window and removed a shotgun valued at $70, a floor fan valued at $15 and a lawn mower valued at $96.

Petty Larceny: 5600 block Frank Street, Aug. 12, someone removed a bicycle from a driveway.

Petty Larceny: 6100 block Brookwood Drive, Aug. 13, someone removed a Murray 20-speed bicycle.

Throwing Missiles at Occupied Dwelling: 2700 block Colonial Drive, Aug. 13, someone threw a table through a front door window.

DISTRICT B

Residential Breaking and Entering: 100 block Wrenn Road, Aug. 16, someone removed a 19-inch Emerson color TV and Emerson VCR.

DISTRICT C

Hit and Run: 1200 block Holland Road, Aug. 11, someone struck a vehicle on its right door, causing $231 worth of damage.

Petty Larceny: 1400 block North Main Street, Aug. 11, someone removed a bicycle.

Credit Card Theft: 1400 block North Main Street, Aug. 11, someone took a wallet with credit cards out of a purse.

Vandalism: 300 block West Washington Street, Aug. 12, someone threw a rock threw a plate-glass window.

Grand Larceny Auto: 200 block Chestnut Street, Aug. 12, someone removed a 1988 Chevrolet Caprice.

Petty Larceny: 1400 block North Main Street, Aug. 13, a suspect entered a store, put a jacket inside a plastic bag and left without paying for it.

Strong Arm Robbery: Washington and South Wellons, Aug. 13, two males on a bicycle grabbed a purse from a woman.

Grand Larceny Auto: 1400 block North Main Street, Aug. 14, a woman reported her 1990 Toyota Camry stolen. The vehicle was later recovered.

Petty Larceny: 800 block West Constance Road, Aug. 16, a suspect concealed a pair of sweatpants, a sweatshirt and a child's pink windsuit inside her clothing.

Petty Larceny: 1200 block North Main Street, Aug. 16, a suspect concealed a car alarm inside his shirt.

DISTRICT D

Felonious Assault: 900 block Lake Kennedy Drive, Aug. 11, a suspect cut a woman on the leg with a box cutter.

Attempted Breaking and Entering - Business: 100 block Hall Avenue, Aug. 11, reported about $700 damage to the rear door and wall of a business.

Possession of Cocaine: Beech Street and East Washington Street, Aug. 11, a substance believed to be cocaine was found during a search of a suspect.

Petty Larceny: 300 block Hill Street, Aug. 11, a man said someone took the license plate from his vehicle.

House Breaking and Entering: 100 block Nancy Drive, Aug. 11, someone entered a home and removed a phone, a Pioneer stereo and a 13-inch TV.

Rape: Mt. Horeb and Bethlehem Street, Aug. 11, a suspect driving a light blue station wagon reportedly raped a woman and then threw her from a vehicle.

Unlawful Concealment: 500 block East Constance Road, Aug. 12, a man said he saw a suspect conceal a pack of pork chops in his pants.

Residential Breaking and Entering: 1300 block Blythewood Lane, Aug. 12, someone removed an RCA video recorder, an air conditioner, several tables and end tables, three bicycles and a phone, all valued at $1,100.

Possession of Marijuana: East Pinner and Lakeside Drive, Aug. 12, a suspect was arrested for possession of marijuana after being stopped for driving while under the influence of alcohol.

Petty Larceny: 300 block Duke Street, Aug. 12, someone removed a bicycle.

Hit and Run: South Main Street and Carolina Road, Aug. 12, a suspect driver struck a vehicle in the rear and fled.

Vandalism/Felony: 300 block East Washington Street, Aug. 13, a man reported that a suspect broke all the windows and flattened all four tires on his vehicle. Damage is estimated at $1,100.

Grand Larceny: 200 block East Washington Street, Aug. 13, someone removed a Honda moped.

Habitual Offender/Felony: 600 block Carolina Road, Aug. 13, a suspect was arrested for allegedly driving while being a convicted habitual offender.

Petty Larceny: 400 block Dover Court, Aug. 13, a man said a suspect took $48 from his wallet.

Assault and Battery: 1600 block East Washington Street, Aug. 13, a woman reported that a suspect choked her with his hands during an argument.

Residential Breaking and Entering: 100 block Greenfield Crescent, Aug. 13, a suspect entered a home and removed a Samsung microwave oven valued at $200, a checkbook and bank savings book, papers and a caller-ID box.

Assault and Battery: South 6th Street, Aug. 13, a woman reported that a suspect punched her son in the eye and took his bicycle.

Felonious Assault: 200 block Pleasant Street, Aug. 13, a police officer found a man face-down in the grass. He had a head injury and a bruise to his right shoulder.

Possession of Cocaine: 400 block Spruce Street, Aug. 13, a substance believed to be crack cocaine was found during a search.

Hit and Run: North 5th Street and Mt. Horeb, Aug. 13, a suspect hit a 1986 Ford Tempo and fled the scene.

Petty Larceny: 300 block South Main Street, Aug. 13, someone removed a bicycle from a back yard.

Residential Breaking and Entering: 1100 block Cogic Square, Aug. 14, someone entered a home and removed a Sunbeam clothes iron valued at $10.

Armed Robbery: Capital Street and Banks Street, Aug. 14, a man reported that a suspect approached him with a knife and demanded money.

Grand Larceny: 1000 block Nansemond Parkway, Aug. 14, a woman reported that someone removed a Panasonic cassette stereo from her car.

Brandishing a Firearm: County Street and Mill Street, Aug. 14, a suspect was seen pointing a .22 caliber rifle out a car window.

Lost or Stolen Plate: 100 block Cullodan Street, Aug. 14, a woman reported that her license plate was missing from her vehicle.

Grand Larceny: 100 block South 6th Street, Aug. 15, a man reported that a suspect removed $150 in cash from his pockets while he was asleep.

Possession of Cocaine: Bank Street and North 7th Street, Aug. 16, a substance believed to be crack cocaine was found during a search.

Armed Robbery: East Washington and Pinner Street, Aug. 16, a suspect approached a man and told him he had a gun. He robbed the man of $7 and a Sony CD player valued at $150.

Hit and Run Personal Injury: Mt. Hored Street and Bethlehem Street, Aug. 16, a suspect, driving a blue station wagon, hit a woman, knocking her into a ditch.

Grand Larceny: 200 block Oak Street, Aug. 16, a juvenile removed a pager from a vehicle.

Residential Breaking and Entering: 200 block North 4th Street, Aug. 16, a man reported that a suspect removed a set of stereo speakers and an electric razor.

Assault and Battery: 900 block Freeney Avenue, Aug. 16, a woman said her husband struck her numerous times on the back, face and neck with his hand, causing bruises, a black eye and a swollen lip. The suspect also allegedly broke a sewing machine valued at $700.

DISTRICT E

Petty Larceny: 1500 block Holland Road, Aug. 11, a woman said a suspect pumped $12.75 worth of gas without paying.

Petty Larceny: 1500 block Holland Road, Aug. 13, someone pumped $10.78 worth of gas without paying.

Petty Larceny: 6700 block South Quay Road, Aug. 13, a suspect left a store with a package of steak valued at $4 without paying.

Felonious Assault: 6700 block Peanut Drive, Aug. 14, a man said a suspect hit him in the face and body with a stick.

Petty Larceny: 1500 block Holland Road, Aug. 14, someone pumped $10.85 worth of gas without paying.

Motor Vehicle Theft: 9900 block Gates Road, Aug. 14, a man said a suspect may have taken his 1977 Ford truck for money owed to the suspect.

Vandalism: 300 block Northbrook Avenue, Aug. 16, someone cut the gas line to a vehicle.

Vandalism: 200 block Kenyon Road, Aug. 16, someone flipped and broke two concrete tables and a chair.

Habitual Offender: 1500 block Holland Road, Aug. 16, a suspect was arrested for driving a motor vehicle while being a convicted habitual offender.

DISTRICT F

Petty Larceny: 100 block Winter View Drive, Aug. 11, two suspects removed a sheet of plywood valued at $17 and a third of a sheet of Styrofoam valued at $8.

Hit and Run Property Damage: 3800 block Whaleyville Boulevard, Aug. 12, a woman said someone struck her vehicle and fled the scene.

Injured Person: 1100 block Hosier Road, Aug. 14, a woman was making a second free-fall skydive when she was blown off course and into woods. She became entangled in some trees 20 to 30 feet high.

Petty Larceny: 100 block Lane Street, Aug. 14, a woman said a suspect removed $95 from her bedroom. by CNB
