Laura Estelle Clagon Jackson, 92, of the 200 block of Mount Vernon Ave., died Aug. 23, 1994, in her residence.
Mrs. Jackson was born in Pinetown, N.C., and was the widow of L. Garfield Jackson. She was a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church and the Ruth Wesley Bible Class.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Leon E. Jackson Sr. and Annie Laurie Jackson of Chesapeake and Sherwood C. ``Smoke'' Jackson and Patricia T. Jackson of Suffolk; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and a daughter-in-law, Margaret G. Jackson of Chevy Chase, Md. She was preceded in death by a son, Vernon C. Jackson.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Olive Branch Cemetery by the Rev. Milford C. Rollins. The family will be at Snellings Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the Broad Street United Methodist Church Fund.
