BARBARA C. BOONE

Barbara C. Boone, 57, of the 400 block of Jamestown Ave., a private duty nurse for seven years, died Aug. 23, 1994, in Maryview Medical Center.

Mrs. Boone was born in Suffolk. She was a member and evangelist of St. Mark Church of Deliverance, Portsmouth, a former Sunday School teacher and superintendent of the Vacation Bible School.

Survivors include her husband, Herbert Boone; a daughter, Chinetta L. Hall of Atlanta; three sons, Myroman Hall, Oscar Hall Jr. and Carlton Hall, all of Portsmouth; her stepmother, Mildred Evans of Portsmouth; a stepsister, Thelma Ewing of Chesapeake; a grandchild, Oscar F. McFarland; four aunts, Elydia S. Eley of Portsmouth, Alice Brown of Suffolk, Eva Morris of Queens, N.Y., and Eula Evans of Philadelphia; two uncles, Jonathan Evans of Suffolk and James Clark of Boston; a faithful sister-in-law, Elsie Copeland of Suffolk; brother-in-law, Vernon Boone of Murfreesboro, N.C.; two cousins, Clara Hopkins of Jamaica, N.Y., and Delores Lawson of Atlanta; and a host of nieces, nephews and other cousins.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Mount Hermon Baptist Temple, Portsmouth, by Dr. I.S. Waters. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery, Suffolk. Viewing will begin at 2 p.m. today in Corprew Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Friday. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
