Donald Harding Borte, 70, died Aug. 23, 1994, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mr. Borte was born in Rochester, N.Y. He had retired from the Naval Air Rework Facility after 33 years as an operations analysis division director. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Marian P. Borte; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Joe Adkins, Kathleen and William Armstrong and Elizabeth and Jeffrey Tefft, all of Virginia Beach; two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Susan Borte of Virginia Beach and Wade and Victoria Borte of Raleigh, N.C.; his mother, Marion H. Giles of Virginia Beach; a sister and brother-in-law, Eleanor and Jim Audlin of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Charles Borte of Syracuse, N.Y., and Richard Borte of Hinesville, Ga.; nine grandchildren, Derrick, Jason, Nicole, Angela, Joseph, Robert, Jamie, Bay and Laura; sister-in-law, Jackie Borte of Norfolk; and a stepmother, Martha Borte of Skaneatles, N.Y.
He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Borte.
The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Rosewood Memorial Park Mausoleum by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m.
