Rosetta Faircloth, 72, of the 300 block of Stonewall St., died Aug. 23, 1994, at Southampton Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
She was a native of Southampton County, daughter of the late Rev. J.H. Banks Sr. and Purlie Banks and wife of the late Milton Faircloth. She was employed with Sevamp Senior Services for many years and was a member of White Oak Spring Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher.
Survivors include three brothers, the Rev. James H. Banks Jr. of Sedley, Melvin Banks of Suffolk and Cary Banks of Jersey City, N.J.; and five sisters, Bessie Banks and Theresa Parker, both of Franklin, Geraldine Biggs and Marion Small, both of New York, and Fletcher Artis of Severn, Md.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in White Oak Spring Baptist Church by the Rev. Eddie Lee. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery. Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
