Mildred Flanagan Rippey Oglesby, 95, a native of Charlottesville, died Aug. 25, 1994, in a nursing home.
She was the widow of Ernest Jackson Oglesby and was predeceased by her former husband, Will N. Rippey, her parents, Robert Nelson and Dora Carroll Flanagan, and two sons, J.R. Rippey III and Will N. Rippey Jr.
Mrs. Oglesby was formerly a registered nurse, having graduated from the University of Virginia. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Chesapeake.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Bob Martin of Bethesda, Md., and Catherine R. and Jim R. Hager of Windsor; two daughters-in-law, Rita Jarvis Rippey of Silver Spring, Md., and Betty Thompson Rippey of St. Clairsville, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Holly Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Theodore H. Bailey. The family will be at the home of Catherine and Jim Hager. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the building fund of St. Thomas Episcopal Church or to a charity of choice.
