On Aug. 21 we published a letter titled ``Henley wrong, car allowances right,'' based on a Beacon news article Aug. 11 and highly critical of Councilwoman Barbara Henley for errors in calculating the number of miles per month a car allowance would cover. The erroneous math was not Mrs. Henley's but had been wrongly attributed to her by the reporter.
The errors were subsequently corrected in the news pages. We regret their repetition in the letters column. by CNB
