CASE GOES TO TRIAL IN JANUARY BETWEEN LINDSLEY AND `PSYCHIC'

Edwin B. Lindsley Jr. is headed for trial in federal court in January.

Last year, Lindsley filed a lawsuit against a Florida woman, claiming she is a psychic who bilked him of $500,000 and several properties over 18 years in exchange for prophecies and divine guidance.

The woman claimed that Lindsley was a close friend who showered her with numerous marriage proposals and gave her and her family many gifts. The woman says she helped Lindsley deal with family problems and care for his elderly mother.

The two sides held settlement talks for a time, but these were unsuccessful, according to court papers. The case is scheduled for trial Jan. 30. by CNB
