David Paul Klingensmith, 30, of the 900 block of Boughton Way, an electronics technician, died Aug. 27, 1994, in Sonora, Ky.
Mr. Klingensmith was born in Kittanning, Pa. He was employed with Loral Corporation for four years. He was a Presbyterian and was an avid bowler. He was a member of the 82nd Airborne with the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his parents, Linda L. Klingensmith and Chauncey L. Klingensmith of Virginia Beach; a sister, Tina Bates and her husband, Gregory Bates of Virginia Beach; a brother, Kenneth Klingensmith of Virginia Beach; maternal grandfather, David Paul Lukehart of Kinsman, Ohio; and several aunts and uncles.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, by the Rev. Bruce Smith. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. Family will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
