EARL B. PHILLIPS

Earl Benjamin Phillips, 85, of Dominion Ave., died Saturday, Aug. 27, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.

Mr. Phillips was born in Norfolk. He had retired from Frank Thomas Co. after 50 years of service. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and The Wesleymen. He was also a member of Post 3160, Ocean View Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was the son of the late Julia Murray and Edward Phillips.

Survivors include his wife, Rosalie Hemingway Phillips of Norfolk; a sister, Katherine P. Hoggard of Virginia Beach; a number of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and -nephews and great-great-nieces and -nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Dr. W. Emmett M. Diggs. Cox Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The family will visit with friends following the service at the graveside.
