THOMAS J. KEMERER

Thomas Jay Kemerer, 39, passed away in a local hospital on Sunday, Aug. 28, 1994.

Mr. Kemerer was born in Salisbury, Pa. He was a long time employee of Navy Federal Credit Union and most recently retired from Damuth Services Inc. of Virginia Beach. Mr. Kemerer attended Northern Virginia Community College and continued his education at Old Dominion University, where he received a bachelor of science degree in business administration. He was a member of Salisbury Church of the Brethren in Salisbury, Pa. Mr. Kemerer was a member of Beta Alpha Psi, the National Accounting Fraternity; the American Institute of CPAs, and the Virginia Society of CPAs.

Survivors include his mother, Grace E. Boyer Kemerer of Salisbury, Pa.; four brothers, Douglas W. Kemerer of Essex Junction, Vt., Robert D. Kemerer of New Baltimore, Pa., Jack A. Kemerer of Kailua, Hawaii, and Rodney A. Kemerer of Lawrence, Pa.; five nephews and three nieces, Timothy W. and J. Andrew Kemerer of Essex Junction, Vt., Mark D. and Michael P. Kemerer of New Baltimore, Pa., Kyle J. and Andrea L. Kemerer of Kailua, Hawaii and Aimee G. and Janelle R. Kemerer of Lawrence, Pa.; beloved companion, R.J. Taylor Jr. of Virginia Beach; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Lester D. Kemerer.

A funeral service will be held at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, 4889 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, Va., Tuesday, Aug. 30, 1994 at 7:30 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Kemerer will be transported to Newman Funeral Home in Salisbury, Pa., where a funeral service will be held Friday, Sept. 2, 1994 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at the Salisbury Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Newman Funeral Home Thursday, Sept. 1, 1994, between 7 and 9 p.m.
