SELMO HURDLE

Selmo Hurdle, 88, of the 200 block of Tylers Lane, died Aug. 27, 1994 in a hospital.

He was born in Chowan County.

Survivors include two daughters, Ophelia White of New Jersey and Ruth Ward of Edenton; one son, Wallace Hurdle of New Jersey; one stepdaughter, Helen Austin of Edenton; one brother, Thomas Hurdle of Norfolk; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Providence Baptist Church by the Rev. Jasper Horne. Burial will be in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Rowsom Funeral Home, Edenton, is handling arrangements.
