Now that the crime bill has passed, it's time for Congress to pass the health-care bill.
Like most other voters, I favor universal coverage for all Americans, regardless of their ability to pay. If this costs me a few cents in new taxes, that's OK. I know that without health-care reform, I will pay more and more for less and less as the years go by.
As for Whitewater, which seems to absorb so much of Congress' time and energy, I have one piece of advice: Forget it. I don't care what happened. I don't care what anyone else thinks about it. It is a non-issue. I think I speak for the majority of voters on this.
Election time is upon us. I plan to vote for those candidates who have the fortitude to stand with the president on these issues.
