FLOYD E. TAYLOR

Floyd E. ``Pappy'' Taylor, 75, of the 800 block of Hopwood Lane, died Aug. 30, 1994, in Virginia Beach.

Mr. Taylor was born in Tallassee, Ala. He retired from the U.S. Navy as an electricians mate first class after 31 years and also retired from Thalia Shell Gas Station as a state inspector. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of Fleet Reserve Association.

Survivors include his wife, Ona L. Taylor; two daughters, Annice Janet Thompson of Williamsport, Pa., and Terry Floyd Cox of Tavares, Fla.; a son, Chris Taylor of Fairfax, Va.; a sister, Louise Crockett of Tallassee, Ala.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by the Rev. Warren Chapman. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Rose Hill Cemetery, Tallassee, Ala. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1599 Clifton Road N.E., Atlanta, Ga. 30329.
