Chip David Beale, 31, of the 3700 block of Knotts Creek Lane, died Aug. 30, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.
He was a native of Portsmouth.
Survivors include his parents, Howard Marvin Beale Jr. of Suffolk and Linda Spence Nash of Greenville, N.C.; paternal grandfather, Howard M. Beale Sr. of Portsmouth; maternal grandmother, Lillie Mae Spence of Conway, N.C.; and a sister, Lisa Kathryn Beale of Appalachia, Va.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Olive Branch Cemetery by the Rev. Damon E. Wyatt. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
