SUFFOLK CRIME REPORT

The crimes listed here were reported to the Suffolk Police Department. Because they are initial reports, they are allegations only and may or may not have resulted in criminal charges.

DISTRICT A

Petty Larceny: 6000 block Camelia Drive, Aug. 20, someone removed a girl's Huffy bicycle.

Assault and Battery Domestic: 4300 block Drivers Lane, Aug. 20, a suspect was placed in custody for assault and battery on his girl friend.

Possession of Marijuana: Maplewood Drive and Brookwood Drive, Aug. 20, a substance believed to be marijuana was found during a search.

Grand Larceny: 6000 block Camellia Drive, Aug. 21, someone removed a Sears Craftsmen toolbox and tools from a vehicle.

Residential Breaking and Entering: 5600 block Nathaniel Street, Aug. 21, a man said someone removed a Sharp VCR, a man's wedding ring, a pinkie ring, an AM/FM cassette radio and $500 cash from his home.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle: 5800 block Plummer Boulevard, Aug. 21, a 1988 Peugeot, stolen in Chespeake, was recovered in a parking lot.

Petty Larceny: 6000 block Green Ash Court, Aug. 22, someone removed a license decal off a vehicle.

Grand Larceny: 6000 block Bradford Drive, Aug. 22, a man reported that someone removed a set of Palmer golf clubs, a Palmer low torque jumbo graphite driver and a black golf bag valued at $400.

Petty Larceny: 3700 block Arbor Road, Aug. 24, someone removed a Pentaz Zoom 60-X camera.

DISTRICT B

Possession of Marijuana: Bennetts Pasture Road, Aug. 19, a substance believed to be marijuana was found during a search.

Petty Larceny: 1500 block Holland Road, Aug. 20, a woman pumped $13.51 worth of gas and only paid $5.

Attempted Breaking and Entering: 3100 block Nansemond Parkway, Aug. 20, a woman reported that she heard a loud band, and upon investigation, she saw a male and female on her front porch. The suspects fled. A screen door was cut open and a kitchen window was broken out. Damage is estimated at $100.

Shed Breaking and Entering: 3500 block Matoaka Road, Aug. 20, someone removed a battery charger, a gas weeder and a pair of jumper cables.

House Breaking and Entering: 3100 block Nansemond Parkway, Aug. 21, a woman reported that checks were missing from her checkbook.

Vandalism: 5700 block Godwin Boulevard, Aug. 21, someone damaged screen windows to a home.

Vandalism: 3600 block Pruden Boulevard, Aug. 23, someone broke a window and damaged screens.

Recovered Stolen Auto: 3300 block Nansemond Parkway, Aug. 24, a 1981 Chevrolet, reported stolen in Woodstock, was found in a parking lot.

DISTRICT C

Vandalism: 200 block North Main Street, Aug. 17, a window was broken.

Petty Larceny: 1000 block Pennsylvania, Aug. 17, a man said that someone removed his son's bike from his driveway.

Grand Larceny Auto: 200 block Military Road, Aug. 18, someone removed a vehicle from a driveway.

Grand Larceny Auto: 200 block Military Road, Aug. 18, someone removed a 1985 Buick Century.

Petty Larceny: North Street and Market Street, Aug. 18, someone removed a Huffy beach cruiser.

Residential Breaking and Entering: 900 block Brook Avenue, Aug. 18, someone kicked open a door and removed a GPX Trim phone and a Cidco caller ID unit.

Attempted Grand Larceny: 500 block North Broad Street, Aug. 19, someone broke the rear vent window and a steering column of a vehicle.

Assault and Battery: West Washington Street, Aug. 19, a suspect and several other juveniles assaulted a victim.

Breaking and Entering: 800 block Battery Avenue, Aug. 19, someone kicked open a door and removed a 13-inch Zenith TV.

Petty Larceny: 900 block North Main Street, Aug. 20, someone removed a bag of medication.

Throwing Missiles at Moving Vehicle: 200 block North Main Street, Aug. 20, someone threw an egg at a vehicle.

Possession of Stolen Property: 400 block Market Street, Aug. 20, a suspect was driving a vehicle with stolen license plates.

Residential Breaking and Entering: 300 block South Wellons Street, Aug. 21, a woman reported that upon arrival home she observed that a number of items were missing from the living room area.

Felonious Assault: 500 block North Main Street, Aug. 21, a vehicle pulled up along side a man walking down the street. Someone inside the vehicle shot him in the face with a pellet gun.

Petty Larceny: 1200 block North Main Street, Aug. 22, someone removed a state inspection sticker from a vehicle.

Petty Larceny: 400 block North Main Street, Aug. 22, a man removed a case of beer valued at $9.99 and a bottle of Mad Dog valued at $2.99.

Petty Larceny: 600 block Pitchkettle Road, Aug. 23, someone removed a boy's 5-speed bike.

Grand Larceny Auto: 800 block West Constance Road, Aug. 23, someone removed a 1985 Nissan from a parking lot.

Assault on a Juvenile: 600 block Mason Avenue, Aug. 24, after a domestic dispute a mother struck her child in the face.

Defrauding a Garage Keeper: 800 block North Main Street, Aug. 24, a man reported that a suspect took his vehicle after it had been recovered as a stolen vehicle. The complainant told the suspect there was a $45 tow bill. When the complainant was distracted the suspect fled in the vehicle without paying.

DISTRICT D

Business Breaking and Entering: 100 block East Washington Street, Aug. 17, someone kicked in a front door and removed watches, jewelry, kangle hats, football emblem hats and clothing valued at $1,250.

Grand Larceny: 400 block Beamon's Mill Trail, Aug. 17, someone removed 35 sheets of 1/2-inch plywood valued at $350.

Armed Robbery: East Washington Street and Pinner Street, Aug. 17, a suspect with a gun approached a man in a vehicle. The suspect climbed through the passenger window of the vehicle and robbed him of $10.

Injured Person: 200 block North 5th Street, Aug. 17, a woman reported that her son was chased him down the street by a group of dogs. The boy fell and split his left hand as he tried to jump a ditch. The injury required 10 stitches.

Attempted Residential Breaking and Entering: 400 block East Constance Road, Aug. 17, someone cut holes in a screen window.

Breaking and Entering Residential: 2500 block East Washington Street, Aug. 17, someone entered a home and removed a Remington 38 caliber gun from a bedroom.

Malicious Wounding: 300 block Baker Street, Aug. 18, a man struck a woman in the head with a rifle and took $6.

Church Breaking and Entering: 1700 block Wilroy Road, Aug. 18, someone pried open a side door.

Petty Larceny: 300 block South Main Street, Aug. 18, someone broke a vehicle window and removed a cassette tape case containing 60 cassettes valued at $150.

Residential Breaking and Entering: 1100 block Turner Drive, Aug. 18, a suspect entered a home and smoked a cigarette while in the kitchen.

Grand Larceny: Bank Street and Holiday Street, Aug. 8, someone broke a vehicle window and removed 30 assorted country music tapes valued at $300 and a knife with a brass handle with TJM engraved on it.

Felonious Assault: Tynes Street, Aug. 18, a man said that his roommate cut him with a broken bottle.

Statutory Rape: 1400 block Nansemond Parkway, Aug. 18, a suspect had sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old.

Concealed Weapon: Factory Steet and Madison Steet, Aug. 18, a folded razor blade knife was found during a search.

Possession of Cocaine: Factory Street and Madison Street, Aug. 18, a substance believed to be cocaine was found during a search.

Larceny of a Firearm: 100 block Nancy Drive, Aug. 18, a man said a .32 caliber gun was removed from a nightstand in his bedroom.

Attempted Malicious Wounding: 2200 block East Washington Street, Aug. 18, two people were involved in an altercation. Both received stab wounds.

Rape: 400 block York Street, Aug. 19, a woman said that she was approached by a suspect with a knife who forced her to engage in sexual intercourse.

Petty Larceny: 900 block East Washington Street, Aug. 19, someone removed a city decal and an inspection sticker from a vehicle.

Business Breaking and Entering: 100 block South Main Stret, Aug. 19, someone removed a box of candy and $10 cash.

Residential Breaking and Entering: 300 block York Street, Aug. 19, a woman reported that someone removed a Zenith VCR valued at $280.

Petty Larceny: 300 block Roland Street, Aug. 19, someone removed an inspection sticker from a vehicle.

Vandalism: 600 block East Constance Road, Aug. 19, someone broke a vehicle's window. Damage is estimated at $50.

Petty Larceny: 1200 block Whitemarsh Road, Aug. 19, someone removed a 10-speed mountain bike valued at $100.

Grand Larceny: 600 block Clarys Drive, Aug. 19, a woman said that a suspect removed $211.82 cash from her purse.

Petty Larceny: 100 block East Washington Street, Aug. 19, someone removed a 26-inch Huffy bike.

Armed Robbery: 300 block Gloucester Street, Aug. 20, a man reported that a suspect hit him over the head with a glass bottle and removed $40 cash.

Possession of Cocaine: Spruce Street and Van Buren Avenue, Aug. 20, while a suspect was being checked for outstanding warrants, she attempted to discard a crack cocaine pipe.

Destruction of Property: 100 block East Washington Street, Aug. 20, a suspect broke a vehicle's windows.

Grand Larceny Auto: 1200 block Forest Oak Lane, Aug. 20, someone removed a 1979 Ford LTD. The car was recovered.

Felonious Assault: 300 block East Washington Street, Aug. 20, a man said while having a verbal argument with a suspect, the suspect drew a small handgun and fired approximately four shots, one of which struck him in the left heel.

Shooting at an Occupied Vehicle: 900 block Davis Boulevard, Aug. 20, a suspect, with a firearm, fired a shot at a woman driving a vehicle.

Felonious Assault: 100 block South 12th Street, Aug. 21, a woman reported that a suspect threw bleach around the house and at her.

Possession of Cocaine: North Capitol Street and Clarys Drive, Aug. 21, a substance believed to be cocaine was found during a search.

Hit and Run Property Damage: 200 block Raleigh Drive, Aug. 21, a man reported that someone struck the left side of his vehicle, causing $1,000 damage.

Petty Larceny: 200 block South Division Street, Aug. 21, a man said that someone removed a Kenwood cassette receiver from his car.

Petty Larceny: Factory and Jefferson Street, Aug. 21, someone removed an AM/FM high power cassette pullout stereo valued at $90 from a vehicle.

Shooting into Occupied Dwelling: 2200 block East Washington Street, Aug. 22, a woman said that someone fired several shots outside her home. One shot struck the complainant in the thigh.

Petty Larceny: 400 block Bank Street, Aug. 22, someone took a 26-inch 10-speed mountain bike.

Vandalism: 100 block Carver Avenue, Aug. 22, someone cut a vehicle tire.

Vandalism: 100 block Forest Oak Lane, Aug. 22, someone cut a vehicle tire.

Petty Larceny: 300 block Cedar Street, Aug. 23, a woman reported that someone entered her vehicle and removed an Optimus AM/FM cassette stereo.

Petty Larceny: 300 block York Street, Aug. 23, someone removed an inspection sticker from a vehicle.

Petty Larceny: 200 block South Lloyd Street, Aug. 23, someone removed a city sticker and an inspection sticker from a vehicle.

Grand Larceny: 1200 block Clarys Drive, Aug. 23, a man reported that someone entered his vehicle and removed a Pioneer cassette player.

Petty Larceny: 200 block South Division Street, Aug. 23, someone removed an inspection sticker from a vehicle.

Grand Larceny Radio: 300 block Newport Street, Aug. 23, someone removed a JVC cassette/radio tuner from a vehicle.

Hit and Run: 100 block East Constance Road, Aug. 24, a woman reported that a vehicle sideswiped her vehicle.

Strong Arm Robbery: 300 block Highland Avenue, Aug. 24, complainant reported that a suspect knocked him from his bike, beat him about his body and removed a gold nugget ring from his right hand.

House Burglary: 100 block South Capitol Street, Aug. 24, someone entered a home through a bedroom window and removed 54 assorted CDs valued at $700.

DISTRICT E

Vandalism: 3400 block Holland Road, Aug. 17, someone broke a window, kicked in the front door and put several holes in a door.

Shed Breaking and Entering: 1400 block Dutch Road, Aug. 8, someone removed two spray guns valued at $600.

Manufacture Marijuana: 2300 block Indian Trail Road, Aug. 18, two growing marijuana plants were found growing in a thicket. Additional drying marijuana and related paraphernalia was also found.

Shed Breaking and Entering: 6700 block Netherland Drive, Aug. 19, someone removed a leaf blower and weedeater valued at $300.

Petty Larceny: 300 block Pond Drive, aug. 21, someone removed a license tag from a vehicle.

Vandalism: 9900 block South Quay Road, Aug. 22, a man reported that a suspect broke his windshield with a tire iron.

Concession Stand Breaking and Entering: 200 block Kenyon Road, Aug. 22, someone entered the Lakeland High School concession stand and painted grafitti on the walls and curtains. Popcorn butter, salt and grease were poured on the floor.

Petty Larceny: 9800 block New Road, Aug. 23, someone removed an inspection sticker from a vehicle.

DISTRICT F

Petty Larceny: 1000 block Old Somerton Road, Aug. 17, a man reported that a suspect removed the license plate from his vehicle.

Grand Larceny: 800 block Manning Road, Aug. 17, a suspect removed various power hand tools, equipment and personal items.

Petty Larceny: 1100 block Carolina Road, Aug. 18, someone pumped $6.12 worth of gas without paying.

Petty Larceny: 800 block Carolina Road, Aug. 20, someone pumped $10 worth of gas without paying.

Grand Larceny: 200 block Byrd Street, Aug. 20, a man and woman had a fight. He left and upon return she was gone with his computer equipment valued at $5,000 and assorted CDs valued at $1,000.

Petty Larceny: 6400 block Whaleyville Boulevard, Aug. 21, someone removed four 12 packs of beer valued at $7.29 each.

Petty Larceny: 1100 block Carolina Road, Aug. 22, someone pumped $10.61 worth of gas without paying.

Grand Larceny: 1200 block Carolina Road, Aug. 22, someone removed two tires and wheels from a vehicle.

Petty Larceny: 1200 block Carolina Road, Aug. 22, someone removed a battery from a vehicle.

Vandalism: 600 block Northy Liberty Springs Road, Aug. 23, someone shot a marble through a screen and broke a window.
