John R. Williams, 39, of the 400 block of General Gage Road, died Aug. 31, 1994, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mr. Williams was president and owner of Global Security in Tidewater, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida and Global Resort Realty of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Global Limousines of Myrtle Beach and Global Human Resources.
He was born in Port Hueneme, Calif., and was a resident of Virginia Beach and Myrtle Beach, S.C., for most of his life. He was past vice president of Big Brothers Association of Tidewater. John was a Spiritual father to many; a member of American Entrepreneurs Association and The United Way of Tidewater.
Survivors include his mother, Rosette A. Williams of Virginia Beach; his father, Norman G. Williams Sr. and his wife, Annette Williams, of Virginia Beach; three brothers, James Williams of Virginia Beach, Norman G. Williams II and sister-in-law, Faith A. Williams, of Virginia Beach, and Paul Williams of Virginia Beach; a nephew, Norman G. Williams III; adopted son, Jeffery Myers; his significant other, Betty Caines of Tabor City, N.C., and her children, Paula Dew and Patrick Caines; and cousins, Monique and Ed Williams.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Friday in the King David section of Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk, by Rabbi Philip Krohn. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Cancer Unit, 505 North Parkway, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
