FRANCES B. MCCOY

Frances Barton McCoy, 67, of the 1500 block of Mount Pleasant Road, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, died Sept. 2, 1994, at her home.

Mrs. McCoy, a native of Durham, N.C., was a member of Centerville Baptist Church. She retired as a bookkeeper from the Chesapeake public schools. For a number of years, she was a dental assistant at the Public Health Service Hospital in Norfolk. Mrs. McCoy, an avid reader, served on the board of the Women's Division of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Chesapeake Retired Teacher's Association.

Survivors include her husband, Norman T. McCoy Sr.; two sons and their wives, Roland L. McCoy and Sherry of Moyock, N.C., and Norman T. ``Tommy'' McCoy and Denise of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; one sister, Delores B. Benson of Chesapeake; five grandchildren, Bryan, Rachel and Jacob of St. Thomas and Robyn and Kristopher of Moyock; one niece, Julie Benson; and two nephews, Dale and Adam Benson.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Oman Family Funeral Home, Great Bridge, by the Rev. Danny Morris. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:30 to 9 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the Centerville Baptist Church Building Fund or the American Cancer Society.
