BROOKS E. WEST

Brooks Earl West, 71, of the 5400 block of Glenville Circle, died Sept. 4, 1994, in his residence.

Mr. West was born in Fairmont, W.Va. He had retired from the U.S. Navy and was a retired detective with N.O.B. He also retired from the Virginia Beach public schools. He was the widower of Edith O. West and was a member of Indian River Masonic Lodge 252, AF&AM and the Fraternal Order of Police and the Police Association. He was a volunteer with C.O.P.S and the Virginia Beach Courthouse. He was a Navy veteran.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Debra Dawn and Robert M. Corprew with whom he made his home; sisters and brothers-in-law, Anita and Bill Jobes of Fairmont, W.Va., and Elaine and Allen Haught of Fairmont; a niece, Terri Haught of Fairmont; a nephew, Troy Haught of Fairmont; and longtime companions, Ken and Mary Lou Clarke.

The graveside service with Masonic rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Rosewood Memorial Park by the Rev. John F. Shappell. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
