Miss Viola Mae Garrett, 88, of the 5600 block of Tidewater Drive, died Sept. 3, 1994, in a local hospital.
Miss Garrett was born in Darby, Pa. She had retired from Woolworth Department Stores as a supervisor in Norfolk and Miami, Fla., after 46 years. She was a member of Coleman Place Presbyterian Church and the Senior Citizens Club. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel B. Garrett.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Ruth V. Barber of Seminole, Fla.; 20 nieces and nephews; and many great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Larry Miles, the Rev. Alfred Garrett and the Rev. Frederick Williams. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Coleman Place Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund.
