Ruby Saunders Pickett, 65, died Sept. 4, 1994, in Virginia Beach.
She was born in Back Bay, Va.
Survivors include her husband, Thurman Eugene Pickett; a son, Ervin E. Pickett of Poplar Branch, N.C.; her mother, Evelyn Henley Saunders of Back Bay; three brothers, Thomas Saunders of South Hill, Va., Harold Saunders of Creeds and Richard Saunders of Back Bay.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Jarvisburg Church of Christ, Jarvisburg, N.C. A graveside service will follow on Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Charity Cemetery, Virginia Beach. The Rev. James M. Clark will officiate. The family will receive friends at the residence. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, Chesapeake, is handling arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Research Fund, Virginia Beach General Hospital, 1060 First Colonial Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23454.
