James Preston Clark, 52, of the 2800 block of Holiday Point Drive, died Sept. 5, 1994, at his home.
Mr. Clark, a native of Manteo, N.C., was retired from the United States Coast Guard, with 22 years of service.
Survivors include three daughters, Donna Johnson of Carrollton, Ga., Brenda Meadows of Lancaster, Texas, and Sherry Wilk of Suffolk; one son, John Hedley of Palm Bay, Fla.; his parents, Andrews and Margaret Clark of Manteo, N.C.; a sister, Ann Clark; two brothers, Charles Clark and Marvin Clark, all of Manteo; and 11 grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, in Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Bennett's Creek Chapel, by Pastor Tim Piland. Burial with military honors will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
