Clyde Wilbert Owens of the 2700 block of Myrtle Ave., a retired office manager, died Sept. 2, 1994, in his residence.
Mr. Owens was born in Powells Point, N.C., and was retired from Gant Shirt Makers in New York City after 15 years. He was a member of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church, Jarvisburg, N.C., and a member of Prince Hall Masonic Lodge, New York City.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Lillian Boffman of Norfolk; a stepson, George Moore of Brooklyn, N.Y.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Corinth Missionary Baptist Church, Jarvisburg, N.C., by the Rev. Charlie Patterson. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
