Shirley C. Hagans, 50, of 903 Wolfpack Court, eldest daughter of the late Rosa E. Mitchell-Raynor, died in a local hospital, Sunday, Sept. 4, 1994.
Born in Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs. Hagans retired from Norfolk Public Schools as an administrative secretary after 19 years of service.
She was a member of Second Calvary Baptist Church, Norfolk, and the Senior Choir.
Survivors include five children: Carlton D. Hagans of California, Matthew L. Hagans III of Norfolk, Patreena T. Hagans of Virginia Beach, Arthur A. Hagans of California and Randy L. Hagans of Norfolk; grandchildren, Shakita Bick, Carlton Hagans, Jr., Patreena Chalk, Matthew White, DeAngelo Hagans, Randy Howard and Qirsten Hagans; two sisters, Patricia A. Hatcher of New York and Theresa Collick of Norfolk; father, Arthur Carter of Norfolk, stepfather, Wright Raynor of Norfolk; grandmother, Esther B. Mitchell; other survivors, Delton Raynor, Denita Raynor, Shiretta Raynor, Sylvester Hatcher, Tonya Hatcher, Wynona Hatcher, Desmond Hatcher, Damien Hatcher, Sonny and Cleo Sanders, Prentis Pretlow, Laverne Hagans, Pamela Hagans, Rebecca Bullock, Katherine Marshall and Archie Mitchell; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at noon, Saturday, Sept. 10, at Second Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. Geoffrey Gunn. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Cemetery. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
