More than 20 newspaper vending boxes have been stolen from street corners, apartment complexes and store fronts in the past three days, officials of The Virginian-Pilot and The Ledger-Star said Wednesday.
Fifteen of the thefts happened in Virginia Beach, according to a list provided by Nancy Lewis, a newspaper sales official. Two boxes were stolen in Chesapeake and five in Norfolk.
