Del. Glenn R. Croshaw was named Virginia Fraternal Order of Police Delegate of the Year at the group's annual banquet in Fredericksburg last month. Croshaw was cited for his devoted efforts in helping law enforcement's fight against crime.
William Armstrong, Jeanne Blair, Jeffrey Cain, Brenda Cayton, Patricia Corliss, Elizabeth Covert, John Curia, Carol Davis, Bert Durgin, Albert Farrell III, Arnold Greiber, Michelle Higgins, Carl Jennings and Jane Jodway have been named to the honor roll for the spring semester at Tidewater Community College's Portsmouth campus.

Emily Medley, Logan Rawlins, Ginny McGraw and sponsor Barbara Kennedy represented Cape Henry Collegiate School at the 10th annual Youth Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Project held at Longwood College.
Shannon Dawn Garton, the 1990 valedictorian at Green Run High School, has graduated magna cum laude with departmental honors in chemistry from Mary Washington College. She will attend graduate school at the University of Georgia.

Scott Douglas, Debra Dramis, Christine Elliott, Daniela Hall, Travis Hill, Janice Mowrey, Cara Munker, Kathleen Myers, Andrew Northcutt, Karen Sheppard, Shirlene Shreckengaust, Henry Turner Jr. and Jennifer Wilson have been inducted as provisional members of the Virginia Beach campus of Tidewater Community College Psi Upsilon chapter of Phi Theta Kappa.
At the same ceremony chapter members Rudy Brantley, Christine Elliot, Meschelle LeRoque, Jeffrey Lucas and Bonny Zierk were honored as Enhanced Members of the organization.
Mary Allen, daughter of Carol and James Allen, was one of 449 students from the United States and eight foreign countries who attended the Hartwick College Summer Music Festival and Institute in Oneonta, N.Y.
Eugene F. Utley, has been installed as director of educational services for Proteus Educational Foundation Inc., a non-profit organization in Virginia Beach.
Ginger Anderson has been elected president of the Womens Network of Hampton Roads. Serving with her will be Sharon DeWitt, vice-president; Rose Chapman, secretary; Denise Chicoine, treasurer; June Werner, director of career development; Susan Frey, director of public relations; Karen Humphreys, director of membership; Edith Warring, director of publications and Joanne Holmes, director of social and hospitality.
Kimberly A. Velazquez, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Velazquez has been selected to compete in the state finals of the Virginia MISS PRE-T.E.E.N., pageant. She is an honor roll student at Brookwood Elementary School.
Angenique Nicole Spencer, daughter of Abe and Sebra Spencer, was named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Ga. She is a 1993 graduate of Tallwood High School.
Sissy Butler was crowned Ms. Virginia in Williamsburg recently and represented the state at the national finals in Washington, D.C., in August. She was awarded a trophy for her state costume, the theme of which was ``Virginia is for Lovers.''
Cynthia Silva, daughter of Capt. and Mrs. Ron Silva, has been inducted into the School of Fine Arts Golden Key National Honor Society at Boston University. She also won the Yale University Ellen Stoeckel Fellowship.
