George R. ``Sweet Georgie Brown'' Brown, of the 2100 block of Camden Ave., died Sept. 6, 1994.
Mr. Brown was born in Portsmouth. He was a member of Third Baptist Church. He had retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a sandblaster. He was also a retired carpenter from AAA Building & Plumbing Corp.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Crews Brown; two daughters, Sheila Brown Pannell and Sherry Brown Vanage; three sons, Tyrone Brown, Barry Brown and Selwyn Brown; two sisters, Mable Oddessa Brown and Annie Mae Frink; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a devoted cousin, Samuel Jackson.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Third Baptist Church by the Rev. Joe B. Fleming. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. Fisher Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The body will be in the church at noon.
