Robert Eugene ``Geneboy'' Morris, 62, of the 2500 block of Ruffin St., a maintenance helper, died Thursday, Sept. 8, 1994, in Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Morris was born in Norfolk and was the son of Gladys Bates Banks and the late Roger Morris. He worked for several contractors painting and hanging wallpaper.
Survivors include a daughter, Jacqueline D. Osborne; his mother, Gladys B. Banks of Norfolk; a sister, Delores J. Purvis; four grandchildren, Clennine, Jacqueline, Eric and Clenon; a niece, Valerie Foote; one nephew, Franklin T. Jordan Jr.; four aunts, Eloise Ferebee, Maryland Key, Lugretha Morgan and Ruth Snipes; brother-in-law, the Rev. Howard B. Purvis and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Riddick Funeral Service by the Rev. Howard B. Purvis. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Viewing will be in the funeral home today from 2 to 8 p.m. The family will be at the home of Howard and Delores Purvis, 245 E. Dexter St., Chesapeake.
