Henry D. Orband, 42, died September 5, 1994, at City of Hope National Research Center in Duarte, Calif.
He was a 1969 graduate of Norview High School. He received a B.A. degree from Belmont Abby College in North Carolina and a M.A.E.D. degree from Ball State University in Indiana.
He was a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He previously taught in the Virginia Beach School system. Most recently he was a 6th grade science teacher in Thoreau, N.M.
Survivors include his parents, Dominick and Virginia Orband of Norfolk; his wife, Marsha; his brother, James M. Orband of Yorktown, Va.; his sister, Lisa O. Miller of California; a niece and two nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Tidewater Drive Chapel. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers make donations to your favorite charity.
