Eddie ``June Bug'' Shannon Jr., 41, of the 5800 block of Poplar Hall Drive, a self-employed painter and plasterer, died Sept. 8, 1994, in Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Shannon was born in Norfolk, the son of the late Eddie Shannon Sr. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah A. Sharpe Shannon; a daughter, Latoya Johnson of Norfolk; three sons, Edwin McAdams and Jamarr Shannon, both of Norfolk, and Edward McAdams of the U.S. Navy; his mother, Dorothy V. Shannon of Norfolk; four brothers, Aubrey Shannon and Ronald Shannon, both of Norfolk, Reginald Shannon of Chesapeake and Jeffery Shannon of Tennessee; and a host of other relatives.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hale Funeral Home by the Rev. Larry Cherry. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will assemble at 5867 Poplar Hall Drive.
