CLEANING UP DEBRIS RAISES QUALITY OF LIFE

Congratulations goes out to Ms. Patricia Briggs, president of Cypress Manor and Parker-Riddick Civic League, and other public housing residents.

Also, a special thanks to Ms. Geraldine Diggs, housing manager of Chorey apartments, her friends, Lake Kennedy Civic League, the residents' youth, and the ``shade tree'' posse for a combined effort and a very good job in cleaning the fence, grounds and other debris, such as the shopping carts, bottles and cans in the Cypress Manor and Parker-Riddick community.

Thanks also to the city and the housing authority for their role in making this task a success.

As your councilman for the Cypress Borough, I commend you in this effort. I strongly suggest that you continue such combined positive forces in our community which will help to improve the quality of life.

I am committed to working with you and all citizens to resolve those problems which block our economical process and limit our ability to nurture, train and educate our children. It is my desire that all citizens will be able to live safely and prosper in their community.
