LOWENTHAL ELECTED PRESIDENT

Joe Lowenthal, school-based information coordinator in the school system's Office of Public Information, was installed as the new president of the National School Public Relations Association this summer at the organization's first international seminar in Toronto. With a membership of nearly 2,500, it is the largest school public relations organization in the country.

An employee of the school system for 17 years, Lowenthal has served as news director and editor for local radio stations WCMS and WGH and as managing editor for the Virginia Beach Sun. by CNB
