I think that Cuban and Haitian refugees will disagree with our more liberal politicians on the importance and meaning of the Second Amendment to our Constitution. Try telling those refugees the right of the people to keep and bear arms is not necessary to the security of a free state.
Those same politicians are concerned with the rights of these refugees. They could grant them the right protected by our Second Amendment.
Arm them, send them home and let them secure their own free state.
