HARVEY MCINTOSH

Harvey McIntosh, of the 500 block of Bunche Blvd., a retired boiler attendant, died Sept. 9, 1994, in his home in Portsmouth.

Mr. McIntosh was born in Sumter, S.C. He had retired from the Little Creek Amphibious Base after 35 years. He was the widower of Dena McIntosh and was a member of the Senior Choir and the Inspirational Choir of Community United Presybterian Church. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, Chapter 0063.

Survivors include four daughters, Ruth Allen, Minnie Hoskie and Mary Davis, all of Portsmouth and Frances Curry of Chesapeake; two sons, Charles McIntosh of Portsmouth and the Rev. Harvey McIntosh Jr. of Brooklyn, N.Y.; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a devoted first cousin, Roberta Plowdon of Portsmouth; and a host of other relatives.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Community United Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Compton J. Ramsawh. Burial with military honors will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Corprew Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
