Sarah Elizabeth Slocum Hamley, 28, of Chesapeake, a USAir flight attendant, died Sept. 8, 1994.
A native of Elmira, N.Y., she was a graduate of Elmira Free Academy, Elmira, N.Y., and Radford University, Radford, Va. Before joining USAir in October 1988, she was employed by Nags Head Hammock Co. in Nags Head, N.C.
Survivors include her husband, Jon Hamley of their home; her father, Stuart Slocum of Franklin, Va.; her mother, Eleanor Slocum of Elmira; a brother, Sgt. Jeffrey Slocum of Malmstrom Air Force Base, Great Falls, Mont.; and her parents-in-law, Clark and Elizabeth Hamley of Southern Shores, N.C.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 15, in the Outer Banks Presbyterian Church, Kill Devil Hills, by the Rev. L. Spottswood Graves and the Rev. William O. Webster Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any animal humane society.
