Seventy-three percent of Americans oppose a U.S. invasion of Haiti and 60 percent say the country's vital interests are not at stake, according to an ABC News poll.
The survey released Monday night also found that President Clinton's disapproval rating ``has stabilized at an awful but not disastrous 51 percent.'' Only 46 percent of 1,522 adults questioned in a random telephone sample approved of the way Clinton is doing his job.
Despite a recovering economy, 53 percent disapprove of the way Clinton is handling it and 60 percent disapprove of his handling of health care.
The margin of error was 3 percentage points.
