Alfred Raymond Silvia, 81, a retired farmer, died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 1994, in Sentara Leigh Hospital.
Mr. Silvia, a native of Dighton, Mass., was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Silvia. He was a member of Capeville United Methodist Church; Capeville Masonic Lodge (NU)107, AF & AM; Eastern Shore Royal Arch (NU)12; Chesapeake Commandery (NU)28; and Khedive Temple Shrine, Norfolk.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Macomber Silvia; three daughters, Doris St. Pierre of Dighton, Mass., Joan A. Zeschke of Coral Springs, Fla., and Jean M. Wilson of Bloomington, Ill.; three sisters, Laura Aguiar and Mary Vargus, both of Taunton, Mass., and Evelyn Pinheiro of Warwick, R.I.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Capeville United Methodist Church by the Rev. Jack D. Pruitt. Burial will be in Capeville Masonic Cemetery. Friends may join the family at Wilkins-Doughty Funeral Home, Cape Charles, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
