Robert L. Miller, 64, of the 5200 block of Gale Drive, died Sept. 12, 1994, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mr. Miller was born in Ypisilanti, Mich. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 23 years and retired from the Norfolk Police Department in 1991 after 20 years. He was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, Virginia Beach, and Fleet Reserve Unit 60, Ocean View.
Survivors include his wife, Florence T. Miller; two brothers, James P. Miller of St. Louis, Mo., and Jack P. Miller of Craum, Mich.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church by Father Anselm Ober. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with military honors. The family will receive friends at Kellum Funeral Home, Pleasant Hall, Kempsville Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and Thursday. They also request that you join them for a Fleet Reserve Service at 7 p.m. Thursday, which will immediately be followed by a Christian wake service.
