Robert Lamont ``Powerful'' Joe, 21, of the 3600 block of Ship Chandlers Wharf, died Sept. 11, 1994.
Mr. Joe was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and was a Baptist.
Survivors include a son, Desean Lamont Hairston of Virginia Beach; his mother, Theresa Burgess of Brooklyn; his father, Robert H. Joe of Virginia Beach; five sisters, Melba Joe of Virginia Beach, Sheila Joe and Serrina Hines of Norfolk, Cynthia Burgess and Lynette Joe of Brooklyn; two brothers, Kenneth Joe of Virginia Beach and Ron Burgess of Brooklyn; maternal grandmother, Hattie Burgess of Brooklyn; his fiancee, Lakisha Hairston of Virginia Beach; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was the grandson of the late Lillie M. Joe of Norfolk.
Viewing will be today in Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. The body will be sent to Lawrence Woodward Funeral Service, 1 Troy Ave., Brooklyn, for the funeral at 1 p.m. Saturday.
