THE ANNUAL FALL plant sale offering what seems to be every type of plant since the Garden of Eden will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Norfolk Botanical Garden.
More than 200 varieties of trees, shrubs, perennials, winter annuals, bulbs and houseplants will be available for purchase during the two-day sale.
The garden's gift shop also will hold a tent sale displaying bargains on its items.
Anyone who purchases a membership in the Norfolk Botanical Garden during the plant sale weekend will receive a 10 percent discount on regular membership rates. Among other benefits, members are admitted without charge to the garden.
The garden's regular entry fee of $2.50 will apply during the sale. Profits from the sale will go to the support of the garden.
Parking is tight because construction of the new visitor's center is taking up a third of the parking lot. Those attending the sale are asked, if possible, to share rides. by CNB
