James R. ``Snuff'' Ellis, 70, of the 1700 block of LaSalle Ave., died Sept. 13, 1994.
Mr. Ellis was retired from Continental Grain Co., Norfolk.
Survivors include two daughters, Carrie Steadman Martin of Portsmouth and Magdalene Steadman Watson of Suffolk; a son, James R. Steadman of Portsmouth; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Maude L. Ellis of Portsmouth, and Carolyn E. Claude and James E. Claude of Portsmouth; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Lincoln Cemetery by the Rev. Theodore Myrick. The family will receive friends at 2507 Des Moines Ave., Portsmouth, and will assemble at Fisher Funeral Home at 12:30 p.m. Friday.
