Iris Jean Powell, 46, of the 800 block of Hayes St., entered into eternal peace on Sept. 12, 1994, while in her residence.
She was born in Greenville, N.C.
Survivors include a sister, Brenda J. Solomon and her husband, Alphonso, of Virginia Beach; one brother, Joseph Bullock and his wife, Betty, of Chesapeake; an aunt, Mary Sherrod of Greenville, N.C.; an uncle, Aaron Jones of Norfolk; three nieces, Sharon Y. Bullock and Alicia J. Bullock, both of Virginia Beach, and Pamela L. Cofield of Norfolk; three nephews, Glen L. Bullock of Portsmouth, Joseph Bullock of Chesapeake and Paul A. Henderson of Virginia Beach; a host of cousins, great-nieces and nephews, and other loving relatives and caring friends.
Family and friends will gather at the home of Aaron Jones at 10 a.m. Friday and then go in procssion to Magnolia Cemetery for burial. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday by the Rev. James A. Faulcon. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
