Regarding staffwriter Kerry Dougherty's offbeat article on the senatorial debate at Hampden-Sydney College: Offbeat is acceptable, but not off base.
I have known Hampden-Sydney President Samuel V. Wilson more than 20 years and nevah in mah life have I evah heard him speak in that fashion. A very learned gentleman, he is deserving of far better recognition.
