Ruth Booher Gray, 79, formerly of Aylwin Road, died in Staten Island, N.Y.
A native of Tennessee, she was the widow of Roy Victor Gray and was retired from Lerner's Department Store as a saleslady.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Murphy and Joy White, both of Chesapeake; a son, Roy A. Gray of Texas; a sister, Sylvia B. Jennings of Staten Island; a brother, James Booher of Harreman, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Tom Potter. Visitation will be 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland, and other times at 3101 Tyre Neck Road, Chesapeake.
