A woman who police feared had been abducted from her office Wednesday was found early Thursday after she walked into a Willoughby Spit motel, apparently suffering from memory loss.
The woman, Sally Lipmanson, 52, of the 1000 block of Cypress Point Way in Virginia Beach, was reported missing by fellow employees at Publishers Service Co., in the Signet Bank building in the 6300 block of Newtown Road. They said she disappeared from her desk about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Shortly after midnight, Lipmanson walked into the Holiday Inn Ocean View Beach in the 1000 block of W. Ocean View Ave., said Norfolk police Sgt. Wayne McBride.
``She asked the people at the desk for help because she didn't know who she was,'' McBride said. ``It was pretty obvious that she had been walking a very long time.''
Lipmanson was hospitalized for observation.
