Henry A. Kellogg Sr., 64, of the 600 block of Douglas Street in Cambridge, Md., died Thursday, Sept. 8, at the University of Maryland Hospital Center.
Mr. Kellogg was born on March 10, 1930 in Sunbury, N.C. He was the son of the late Theodore R. and Lucy L. Kellogg of Portsmouth, Va. He attended I.C. Norcom High School in Portsmouth and Norfolk State University in Norfolk, Va. He retired from Cambridge Scientific Industries after 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Kellogg of Cambridge, Md.; one daughter; three sons; one stepdaughter; three stepsons; nine grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; three sisters, Rosa L. Gibbs and Evangeline Pope of Portsmouth, Elvin Edwards of Baltimore, Md.; four brothers, Junius A. Kellogg of Riverdale, N.Y., Theodore E. Kellogg and John A. Kellogg of Fort Wayne, Ind., James E. Kellogg of Fairbanks, Alaska; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral was held Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 7 p.m., at Zion Baptist Church in Cambridge, Md. The Rev. William A. Hitchens Sr. officiated. Interment was in Waugh United Methodist Church Cemetery, Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 9 a.m. Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Cambridge, Md., handled arrangements.
