MAGGIE P. HARRELL

Maggie Parks Harrell, 84, of Route 3, died Sept. 16, 1994, in Britthaven Nursing Home.

Mrs. Harrell was born in Chowan County, daughter of the late Tom and Lula Stallings Parks. She was the widow of Gurney Patrick Harrell and was a homemaker. She was a member of Rocky Hock Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for 42 years. A Sunday School class is now named after her.

Survivors include a daughter, Jane H. Smith of Manteo; two sons, Raleigh Patrick Harrell and Jakie Ray Harrell, both of Edenton; three sisters, Minnie P. Rogerson and Carrie P. Kinnamon, both of Edenton, and Zula P. Byrum of Tyner; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Rocky Hock Baptist Church by the Rev. Merideth Garrett. Burial will be in the Harrell Family Cemetery. Williford-Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
